This section has spectacular views of the Hudson River. Of the 11 miles, 9 are off-road paths and 2 are road shoulders next to vehicle traffic. Some 7 miles follows the Mohawk Hudson Bike Hike Trail (MHBHT).

A 17.5 km full-day trail that rewards walkers with a proper day out. Budget roughly 3 hours and 53 minutes at a steady pace.

This is a point-to-point route, running from one location to another. Plan ahead for return transport, or consider reversing the route on your way back. The trail is officially waymarked as CVT, so look out for the trail markers along the way.
