Champlain Valley Trail (Comstock to Whitehall)

This section has varied conditions, traveling mostly on the shoulders of local roads. A three-quarter-mile paved trail connects South and North Quarry Roads slightly south of Comstock – this is an excellent place for a quiet, scenic walk in deep woods.

At 10.7 km, this is a solid full-day hike. At an average walking pace you can expect to complete the route in roughly 2 hours and 22 minutes.

As a linear trail, this route has distinct start and end points. Return transport is worth arranging in advance unless you plan to walk back the same way. Follow the CVT waymarkers throughout to stay on the official trail line.
