De Tronk to De Hel

From De Tronk under oaks & over a footbridge to Die Hel. The descent into the gorge is very steep, difficult and dangerous. There is rock art on the left of the footpath as it drops very steeply. The pool is very deep & one of the largest in the Cape

This 3.9 km walk is easy-going and within reach of all fitness levels. Most walkers finish in around 52 minutes.

Point-to-point in layout, this trail takes you from A to B across the landscape. Consider your return logistics before heading out. Follow the 5 waymarkers throughout to stay on the official trail line.

As a Local Walking Network (LWN) route, this trail has a strong community character. It serves both regular local walkers and visitors discovering the area for the first time.
