East Crater Trail #48

This moderately used trail is one of the main access routes from the east into the central part of Indian Heaven Wilderness. Trail features include small lakes, ponds, marshes, meadows, wildflowers, and Junction Lake.

This 3.8 km walk is easy-going and within reach of all fitness levels. Most walkers finish in around 50 minutes.

Point-to-point in layout, this trail takes you from A to B across the landscape. Consider your return logistics before heading out. The trail is officially waymarked as 48, so look out for the trail markers along the way.

As a Regional Walking Network (RWN) route, this trail is maintained and waymarked at the regional level. It typically connects towns, villages, and natural highlights across the wider area.
