F50 - Alpe Veglia - Ciamporino

From the Rifugio CAI Città di Arona a path in a larch wood leads first to the Alpe La Balma and then to the "Portea". From here, up to Ciamporino, you will walk on a long natural balcony with an enchanting view of the surrounding peaks.

At 5.2 km, this is a comfortable half-day walk for most hikers. At an average walking pace, plan for roughly 1 hour and 9 minutes.

As a linear trail, this route has distinct start and end points. Return transport is worth arranging in advance unless you plan to walk back the same way. Look for the F50 trail markings to stay on the official route.
