From Riale to a little beyond Lake Morasco, proceed by road then begin the route on alpine paths passing through Bettelmat and then the steep climb that leads to Passo del Gries

A compact 2.5 km route ideal for a relaxed morning out. At an easy pace, plan for about 33 minutes.

This is a circular route that brings you back to your exact starting point — ideal for a self-contained day out without having to organise return transport. Follow the G004 waymarkers throughout to stay on the official trail line.

As a Local Walking Network (LWN) route, this trail has a strong community character. It serves both regular local walkers and visitors discovering the area for the first time.
