Grande Rota Peneda-Gerês

Grande Rota Peneda-Gerês is a 9.2 km Regional Hiking hiking trail covering an interesting stretch of countryside.

Covering 9.2 km, this is a satisfying walk that most reasonably fit hikers will complete in about 2 hours and 2 minutes.

This linear trail moves from one end to the other without looping back. A return journey by transport — or retracing the path — is needed to get back to the start. Follow the GR 50 waymarkers throughout to stay on the official trail line.

This trail forms part of the Regional Walking Network (RWN), linking local communities and natural features across the region. Waymarking is managed at the regional level.
