Greenleighton Moor Walk, Wallington

Follow the route through Greenleighton Farm, traditional hill farm, and then along the edge of the Fontburn Reservoir, owned & managed by Northumbrian Water, before returning across the moor to the SSSI designated Greenleighton quarry.

At 8.2 km, this is a comfortable half-day walk for most hikers. At an average walking pace, plan for roughly 1 hour and 49 minutes.

The route forms a complete loop, returning you to where you started. This makes logistics simple and the outing entirely self-contained.
