This ancient path winds through paths and farms that form a large part of the countryside in and around the picturesque village of Outwood. Stroll through the woodlands and wheat fields on this gentle 5-mile walk. Level surface with some gentle slopes.

Covering 7.6 km, this is a satisfying walk that most reasonably fit hikers will complete in about 1 hour and 41 minutes.

This linear trail moves from one end to the other without looping back. A return journey by transport — or retracing the path — is needed to get back to the start.

This is a Local Walking Network (LWN) trail — a community-level route perfect for exploring the immediate surroundings, popular with locals and visitors alike.
