Path of the Glacier Trail
This short, well-used trail takes you toward the great north face of Mt. Edith Cavell, across a rocky landscape recently covered with glacial ice. Signs explain how the area is now being recolonized by plants and animals.
A compact 999 m route ideal for a relaxed morning out. At an easy pace, plan for about 13 minutes.
This is a point-to-point route, running from one location to another. Plan ahead for return transport, or consider reversing the route on your way back. The trail is officially waymarked as PGT, so look out for the trail markers along the way.
This is a Local Walking Network (LWN) trail — a community-level route perfect for exploring the immediate surroundings, popular with locals and visitors alike.
