Tail 7

Trail 7 is a rugged 0.875-mile loop starting at the west end of Hickory parking lot. It features mature trees, traverses through Kickapoo Ravine, has steep climbs, and a streambed section. Portions may be impassable during high water.

A compact 1.5 km route ideal for a relaxed morning out. At an easy pace, plan for about 20 minutes.

This is a circular route that brings you back to your exact starting point — ideal for a self-contained day out without having to organise return transport. Follow the 7 waymarkers throughout to stay on the official trail line.

As a Local Walking Network (LWN) route, this trail has a strong community character. It serves both regular local walkers and visitors discovering the area for the first time.
