A beautiful countryside walk from The Candlestick pub/restaurant at West End Lane down to the River Lea then over to Essendon and back.
Covering 6.6 km, this is a satisfying walk that most reasonably fit hikers will complete in about 1 hour and 28 minutes.
This loop trail is a practical choice for day hikers: you start and end at the same spot, with no shuttle or pick-up required. Follow the 13 waymarkers throughout to stay on the official trail line.
