Erie Canalway Trail (Buffalo Harbor State Park to Hertel Avenue)

Starting with a detour on public roads around a long-term project in LaSalle Park this stage continues under the Peace Bridge (which provides a walk and cycle way to Canada) and then on a state-of-the-art protected cycle track.

At 12.8 km, this is a solid full-day hike. At an average walking pace you can expect to complete the route in roughly 2 hours and 51 minutes.

As a linear trail, this route has distinct start and end points. Return transport is worth arranging in advance unless you plan to walk back the same way. The trail is officially waymarked as ECT, so look out for the trail markers along the way.
