F50 - Alpe Veglia - Ciamporino

From the Rifugio CAI Città di Arona a path in a larch wood leads first to the Alpe La Balma and then to the "Portea". From here, up to Ciamporino, you will walk on a long natural balcony with an enchanting view of the surrounding peaks.

Covering 5.2 km, this is a satisfying walk that most reasonably fit hikers will complete in about 1 hour and 9 minutes.

This linear trail moves from one end to the other without looping back. A return journey by transport — or retracing the path — is needed to get back to the start. Look for the F50 trail markings to stay on the official route.

Part of the Local Walking Network (LWN), this trail is ideal for exploring the neighbourhood landscape. It is typically well-known to local walkers and offers an authentic sense of place.
