Hamilton Buttes Trail #118
On the south end, the Hamilton Buttes Trail climbs through scattered old growth and second growth forests before entering open fields on top where you get views of Mt. Adams and the Cispus River. The trail follows the ridge through several open meadows.
At 9.5 km, this is a comfortable half-day walk for most hikers. At an average walking pace, plan for roughly 2 hours and 7 minutes.
As a linear trail, this route has distinct start and end points. Return transport is worth arranging in advance unless you plan to walk back the same way. Follow the 118 waymarkers throughout to stay on the official trail line.
This trail forms part of the Regional Walking Network (RWN), linking local communities and natural features across the region. Waymarking is managed at the regional level.
