Rakiura - north west circuit

Allow 9–11 days to walk the full 125 km circuit. This track is suitable for fit, well equipped and experienced trampers. Track times are an indication only and extra time should be allowed in adverse conditions.

A 134.6 km long-distance route for dedicated hikers. Total walking time is approximately 29 hours and 55 minutes.

This is a point-to-point route, running from one location to another. Plan ahead for return transport, or consider reversing the route on your way back. Look for the Rnwc trail markings to stay on the official route.

A Regional Walking Network (RWN) route, this trail weaves through the regional landscape connecting villages, viewpoints, and countryside.
