Steamboat Viewpoint Trail #14
A short 0.5 mile pleasant trail with wildflowers in season that climbs to the top of Steamboat Mountain, a former fire lookout site, with an intertesting view of the summit of Mt. Adams.
At 1.1 km, this is a short, accessible outing suitable for most fitness levels. Expect to complete it in around 15 minutes at a comfortable pace.
Almost circular, this trail brings you back very close to your starting point. A short transfer or brief walk connects the finish to the trailhead. Follow the 14 waymarkers throughout to stay on the official trail line.
As a Local Walking Network (LWN) route, this trail has a strong community character. It serves both regular local walkers and visitors discovering the area for the first time.
