Tail 7

Trail 7 is a rugged 0.875-mile loop starting at the west end of Hickory parking lot. It features mature trees, traverses through Kickapoo Ravine, has steep climbs, and a streambed section. Portions may be impassable during high water.

Covering just 1.5 km, this is a gentle outing perfect for families or beginners. Allow roughly 20 minutes.

This loop trail is a practical choice for day hikers: you start and end at the same spot, with no shuttle or pick-up required. The trail is officially waymarked as 7, so look out for the trail markers along the way.
