Erie Canalway Trail (Albion to Brockport)

An off-road stonedust stage on the north side of the Erie Canal, passing by farmlands, woods, scenic vistas, and water views of boats and canal infrastructure.

At 18.4 km, this is a solid full-day hike. At an average walking pace you can expect to complete the route in roughly 4 hours and 5 minutes.

As a linear trail, this route has distinct start and end points. Return transport is worth arranging in advance unless you plan to walk back the same way. Follow the ECT waymarkers throughout to stay on the official trail line.

As a Local Walking Network (LWN) route, this trail has a strong community character. It serves both regular local walkers and visitors discovering the area for the first time.
