S04 Bivio S02 S.Bartolomeo in Montibus - Monte Faierone

From the crossroads of S02 between San Bartolomeo in Montibus and Formine, climb to the meadows of L'Agher (Prati d'Agro), a wonderful balcony on Lake Maggiore, and then climb up to the north summit of Monte Faierone via its eastern ridge.

Covering just 3.4 km, this is a gentle outing perfect for families or beginners. Allow roughly 45 minutes.

This linear trail moves from one end to the other without looping back. A return journey by transport — or retracing the path — is needed to get back to the start. Follow the S04 waymarkers throughout to stay on the official trail line.

As a Local Walking Network (LWN) route, this trail has a strong community character. It serves both regular local walkers and visitors discovering the area for the first time.
