Cross-Wareham Footway

A segment of the 60,000 mile Atlantic Circuit Trail, the Cross-Wareham Footway will eventually stretch roughly 12 miles across the town of Wareham, linking protected open space and nature trails.

Covering just 675 m, this is a gentle outing perfect for families or beginners. Allow roughly 9 minutes.

This linear trail moves from one end to the other without looping back. A return journey by transport — or retracing the path — is needed to get back to the start. Look for the ACT trail markings to stay on the official route.

Part of the Local Walking Network (LWN), this trail is ideal for exploring the neighbourhood landscape. It is typically well-known to local walkers and offers an authentic sense of place.
