Erie Canalway Trail (Lockport to Middleport)

An off-road stonedust stage from the “Flight of Five Locks” in central Lockport heading east on the Erie Canalway Trail on the north side of the Erie Canal, passing by farmlands, woods, scenic vistas, and water views of boats and wildlife.

This 19.3 km route makes for a full-day commitment — bring sufficient food and water. Plan for around 4 hours and 18 minutes on the trail.

Point-to-point in layout, this trail takes you from A to B across the landscape. Consider your return logistics before heading out. The trail is officially waymarked as ECT, so look out for the trail markers along the way.
