Via di Linari - tappa 4 - San Michele Cavana - Tizzano Val Parma
The Via di Linari is an ancient route of commercial passage and pilgrimage to Rome as an alternative to the Via Francigena on which it was grafted from the city of Fidenza towards Parma to reach Tuscany through the Lagastrello Pass.
At 16.9 km, this is a solid full-day hike. At an average walking pace you can expect to complete the route in roughly 3 hours and 45 minutes.
As a linear trail, this route has distinct start and end points. Return transport is worth arranging in advance unless you plan to walk back the same way. Follow the VL waymarkers throughout to stay on the official trail line.
This trail forms part of the Regional Walking Network (RWN), linking local communities and natural features across the region. Waymarking is managed at the regional level.
