Via di Linari - tappa 3 - Torrechiara - San Michele Cavana
The Via di Linari is an ancient route of commercial passage and pilgrimage to Rome as an alternative to the Via Francigena on which it was grafted from the city of Fidenza towards Parma to reach Tuscany through the Lagastrello Pass.
Covering 13.7 km, this is a substantial hike requiring a reasonable base fitness. Most walkers complete it in about 3 hours and 3 minutes.
This linear trail moves from one end to the other without looping back. A return journey by transport — or retracing the path — is needed to get back to the start. Look for the VL trail markings to stay on the official route.
A Regional Walking Network (RWN) route, this trail weaves through the regional landscape connecting villages, viewpoints, and countryside.
