Nannie Ridge Trail #98
The trail branches off Walupt Lake Trail #101 a short distance from the campground and climbs steeply northeast onto an open, scenic ridgetop within Goat Rocks Wilderness. The trail follows the ridge, ending on the Pacific Crest Trail near Sheep Lake.
Covering 7.1 km, this is a satisfying walk that most reasonably fit hikers will complete in about 1 hour and 35 minutes.
This linear trail moves from one end to the other without looping back. A return journey by transport — or retracing the path — is needed to get back to the start. The trail is officially waymarked as 98, so look out for the trail markers along the way.
As a Regional Walking Network (RWN) route, this trail is maintained and waymarked at the regional level. It typically connects towns, villages, and natural highlights across the wider area.
