Walupt Lake Trail #101
Beginning in the Walupt Lake Campground, the trail follows the lakeshore until reaching Walupt Creek. At the end of the lake the trail climbs into an open alpine area before meeting the Pacific Crest Trail.
Covering 6.9 km, this is a satisfying walk that most reasonably fit hikers will complete in about 1 hour and 32 minutes.
This linear trail moves from one end to the other without looping back. A return journey by transport — or retracing the path — is needed to get back to the start. The trail is officially waymarked as 101, so look out for the trail markers along the way.
As a Regional Walking Network (RWN) route, this trail is maintained and waymarked at the regional level. It typically connects towns, villages, and natural highlights across the wider area.
