Petes Creek Trail #858
This difficult trail leads into beautiful temperate rain forest within Colonel Bob Wilderness. Towering conifers including Sitka spruce, Douglas-fir, western hemlock and western red cedar provide dense shade for this trail.
Covering 6.0 km, this is a satisfying walk that most reasonably fit hikers will complete in about 1 hour and 20 minutes.
This linear trail moves from one end to the other without looping back. A return journey by transport — or retracing the path — is needed to get back to the start. Follow the 858 waymarkers throughout to stay on the official trail line.
This trail forms part of the Regional Walking Network (RWN), linking local communities and natural features across the region. Waymarking is managed at the regional level.
