Petes Creek Trail #858
This difficult trail leads into beautiful temperate rain forest within Colonel Bob Wilderness. Towering conifers including Sitka spruce, Douglas-fir, western hemlock and western red cedar provide dense shade for this trail.
Covering 6.0 km, this is a satisfying walk that most reasonably fit hikers will complete in about 1 hour and 20 minutes.
This linear trail moves from one end to the other without looping back. A return journey by transport — or retracing the path — is needed to get back to the start. The trail is officially waymarked as 858, so look out for the trail markers along the way.
As a Regional Walking Network (RWN) route, this trail is maintained and waymarked at the regional level. It typically connects towns, villages, and natural highlights across the wider area.
