Beacon Way
Starting at Sandwell Valley via the outskirts of Birmingham and the countryside of Walsall into Staffordshire. Take in the Forest of Mercia, lakes, nature reserves, woods, and canal banks. Named after Barr Beacon, one of the highest hills in this area.
A 37.4 km long-distance route for dedicated hikers. Total walking time is approximately 8 hours and 19 minutes.
This is a circular route that brings you back to your exact starting point — ideal for a self-contained day out without having to organise return transport.
